5 Reasons I Use the Nunchucks for Self Defense

Nunchucks are ideal self defense weapons in 2020. These are two wooden sticks connected with a rope or chain. There are many reasons I use them for self defense latey. These are not something new to the world. 

In fact, they were first used during the 10th century for combat. Today, they have become extremely popular weapons for self defense for some reasons. I will explore all the reasons today and determine why you need to prefer them to battle the attackers:

1. They are Already Used as Self Defense Weapons

Nunchucks already served as fighting weapons back in the 10th century. These were originally the agricultural tools but a Chinese emperor discovered the lethality of the weapon and used it for fighting the Mongols. 

Thanks to the weapon, the Chinese were able to defeat the Mongols determining that these are good fighting and defensive weapons.

The nunchucks offer an extended reach. These are two wooden sticks connected together via a  chain or rope. That chain or rope extends the reach of the weapon. Hence, you can stay at a safe distance from the attacker and still manage to injure him and save your life.

The nunchucks are extremely brutal. In fact, it is the most lethal weapon when the sticks are made of steel. Even in the wooden form, they are very powerful. They can inflict severe injuries to the attackers and leave them down to serve your survival. 

4. The Ease of Use

The nunchucks are also pretty easy to use. There is nothing you need to learn about. Also, no need for training. You just have to hold one of the sticks in your dominant hand and then start swinging it with full force to inflict serious injuries to the attacker. 

5. The Ease of Carry

The nunchaku is not a huge weapon. As mentioned before, there are just two sticks connected by any means. The weapon is smaller than you imagine it is. This makes it very easy to carry because it is small and lightweight. Anyways, it is one of the most effective weapons for self defense!

Nunchucks, also called nunchaku, is a weapon made of two wooden sticks connected using a rope or chain. It is a very common self defense weapon used these days in America. However, it was made popular by Bruce Lee when he used it in his movies. Though Bruce Lee gave a wonderful display of his skills with the weapon, we may not understand the strength of the weapon through his movies. But, to some extent, we do. We can realize the power of the weapon even in his movies when he gives certain brutal strikes to the opponents. But, is it really a solid weapon? Let’s find out from the following evidence:

Excellent For Self Defense

When a weapon is used for self defense against the attackers, it has to be a strong enough weapon. People have adopted it as their primary self defense weapon because it is effective. It can inflict a serious injury when struck at any part of the body. When the attacker approaches a person, the person can pull out his nunchaku and start swinging it. Make sure to attack the attacker’s mouth so that a maximum damage is done. You need to cause a maximum injury when you are using a weapon for your defense, and nunchaku allows you to do that!

He used to display his skills as well as he performed different tricks. We may never become as skilled as he was because he had an immense level of skill when it comes to using nunchucks.

Nunchucks are made of wood and often a rope. There are two sticks and both are wooden. The two sticks are connected via a rope or chain. At most of occasions it’s the rope, but chain is another common material used for connecting the two wooden stick. There are two holes on each stick that allow the sticks to be connected. As they are made of wood, you can expect the weapon to be highly sturdy and durable. Also, wood ensures the immense strength of weapon. Remember the earliest weapons, such as a club were made of wood and they proved to be deadly enough to inflict severe injuries. Being made of a solid material i-e wood, nunchucks is indeed a powerful weapon. 

Steel Nunchucks are More Solid

In the modern days, you can also find steel nunchucks, These are made of steel and are even more solid than the wooden nunchaku. Steel is perhaps the strongest material ever used for constructing weapons. Most of the hardcore weapons are manufactured using steel, such as swords, knives etc. Steel nunchucks prove to be more lethal and powerful. They can inflict a severe injury. So, they are, in fact, more powerful and solid than the wooden nunchucks. 

Considering the materials used for manufacturing nunchucks, it is really a solid weapon. Wood and steel both are durable and strong materials. You can realize the brutality of the weapon, keeping in mind the strength of the materials. The movies of Bruce Lee is a huge evidence that suggest how lethal this weapon is. So, it can be your primary weapon for defense against the attackers as well.

Nunchucks The Two Most Deadly Self-Defense Weapons

Do you know what self-defense weapons are? They are the weapons which provide us a safe route out of a dangerous and life-threatening situation. Brass knuckles, pepper sprays, stun guns, and Nunchucks are considered as the most popular self-defense weapons. Have you ever heard of them? No? Let’s start with a story first. Just a few days ago, I was was down in the parking lot of apartment building. It was quite late, probably 2:00 am and I was coming straight from a party at my friend’s place. 

The parking lot was quite dim and I made a mental note to write down this concern of mine and put in the complaint box present in the office of the apartment’s caretaker. Just when I came out of my car and locked it, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw a man holding a big knife pointed at me. I froze to the spot and shrieked so loud that I didn't that I was capable of. As soon, as shrieked the man moved towards me and thank god that I moved and didn’t just stay frozen to the spot. 

I began to run towards the exit and collided with another man. I thought he was another attacker and I moved away from him. But actually, he was my savior. He pulled something from his pockets which I couldn’t see properly but when he started to use the object, I instantly recognized the object as I had seen people use it in movies. The object was Nunchucks and he used it against my assailant. 

His techniques and tricks were super-awesome and lightning fast and I couldn’t even keep track of. There was lots of blood shed and soon my assailant was on the floor, unconsciousness. I thanked the man who saved my life and immediately called the police. Today, I will give you a brief introduction of the two most deadly weapons that can be used for self-defense. I have given you an overview of the first one known as Nunchucks and the second one is brass knuckles. 

1- Nunchucks

Nunchucks are also known as Nunchakus or Chuka sticks and most commonly as Karate sticks. They are basically made up of wood but metal, rubber and plastic Nunchucks can also be found in stores all over the world at very reasonable rates. Nunchaku is the name of two wooden, metallic or plastic sticks of medium length, joined with each other with the help of a metallic chain. 

They are mostly used in martial arts and there are many tricks and techniques devised to properly use them in a fight or combat. Initially, the Nunchucks were made by a ruler of the Chinese Sun Dynasty when he was overthrown by a Mongolian emperor. He then used these weapons to take his estate back and achieved success as well. The most popular Nunchucks techniques are blocking, striking, figure eight, hand roll, aerial, passes, stances, etc. 

2- Brass Knuckles

Brass knuckles are the coolest self-defense weapons but there is no doubt in the fact that they are the most dangerous as well. The real brass knuckles are made up of metal and these pieces of metal intensify the power of a punch when they are worn around the knuckles of a hand. The power of brass knuckles when combines with the power of a person’s punch magnify and results in more injuries than a regular punch could ever inflict. 

Brass knuckles are therefore known to cause minor to severe injuries ranging from light and heavy bleeding, swelling, bruises, concussions, broken bones to even death. Brass knuckles are even made up of plastic and rubber but those versions are used either for training or in LARP or cosplay events. In such events, the use of real weapons i.e. brass knuckles, Nunchucks, guns, swords, and knives, etc is totally banned and therefore, people carry with them fake and replica weapons made up of foam mostly to shine and ace in their costumes. 

Brass knuckles come in beautiful and chic designs nowadays. The two most popular variations of brass knuckles are brass knuckle paperweight and brass knuckles belt buckles. The design of knuckle dusters has infiltrated the fashion industry in such a fast manner that these objects featuring knuckles design are used so much by people nowadays. In fact, people are mad about such objects and spend so much on getting the best of them. 

Brass knuckles and Nunchucks are the most dangerous self-defense weapons and must be used with great care and responsibility, otherwise, you will just end up in jail even if you used the weapons for self-defense.
